A Record Six Intruders

Okay, so we all possibly know by now (those of us who care, anyway) that Australian Big Brother is about to send in three new Intruders tomorrow night.

That makes a total of six for the season, which I believe is an Aussie BB first.

"Oooh! Another first!"

So let's meet them:

Lauren, 22, (NSW) Make-up artist.
Big Brother says: "Lauren describes herself as an unpredictable, manipulative and controlling hot chick."

Darren, 19, (QLD) Student.
Big Brother says: "Darren is good looking, wilful and angry. I think he'll go on a very interesting journey in the House."

Perry, 39, (NSW) Real estate agent.
Big Brother says: "You simply cannot help but notice Perry. She is loud, warm, abrasive, mothering and interesting."

Oh, goodie.

Did anyone else notice the dangerous one, there? That's right, Lauren. She's a make-up artist! That's just what we need to completely divert the remaining 5% of Krystal's attention that isn't already focussed on the mirror to start experimenting together with blushes and eyeshadows and mascaras and lipsticks. What captivating television that will be.

Also, Perry looks like she's going to be annoying-most-foul and Darren comes across in his video introduction package (that much that we've been able to see so far, anyway) as a bit of a tool. Actually, so does Lauren.

But the point is, they're being sent in there to stir up trouble. And I rather think they will.

Good luck to them.

Interestingly, TV Week features a mini-bio on each of the three Intruders this week, but Darren isn't amongst them. Instead, the pictures are of three female Intruders, and the third who's missing above is the ever-elusive Gina, the absent sixteenth Housemate from the first episode of the season. She was kept out of the House due to suffering from a bout of glandular fever (for those of you not in the know), and according to the erroneous TV Week article, she has since recovered from the illness and is "raring to go"!

One wonders if perhaps Gina doth spoke too soon? It would appear that she's been cut from the line-up -- again -- and maybe this is because she hadn't totally recovered at all. You can even tell that Darren's photo above was clearly taken at a different time to those of Lauren and Perry. He must have had a super-speedy crash course in getting primed and ready for his Intruder status! Filming all those videos and having all those photos taken, etc.

We haven't been told this yet officially by Gretel, but apparently this Sunday night is another double eviction. I'd say this is so the House can shed one of the new Intruders almost straight away, like in the usual fashion. This didn't happen when Jade, Rob and Danielle went in to the House earlier on, which may or may not have made it obvious that there were perhaps more Intruders to come.

Spare a thought for poor old Gina. What a loser.

I love this blog! It's awesome. And apparently Gina had some kind of attack of nerves. So screw her. She reckons she can talk to dead people anyway. What a load of CROCK.

I also write about television. If you look at my blog I'll buy you a delicious "iced-cream"

Ah, the Gina mystery is all making sense now. How annoyed the BB people must be with her, then -- after all the effort they put into her with the filming of stuff and preparing of her videos and website and screenshots things. Ha!

Spankk, "can't be found"? Seriously? That's quite a concern! Hopefully it's just that the producers can't find her, as opposed to her family and friends also having no idea where she is ...

John Surname, welcome! Thank you for the compliment, and I agree with your sentiment on Gina if indeed it's just 'nerves' (after all this time) that are keeping her out. What a waste of time for her and everyone else! Sounds like a bit of a loony, from what you're saying. I'm gonna go check out your blog now. A delicious "iced-cream", eh? Sounds lovely!

Oh Bevis
*YAWN*
I do enjoy reading your blog its why I keep coming here, and Im not *yawning* at you but rather at BB.
I mean how many HM's say
"Im gonna stir the house up, Im gonna pick arguments, etc etc" and when they go into the house become just as boring and predicatble as the rest?
All of them.
The one that did they got rid of, porr poor Mikey.
My prediction, Perry is out first. Older and more like Karen who didnt fit in.
:)

Perry's a slag, Darren's an arrogant bogan (who needs to chill out and admit that he's a wanna-be homo) but at least Lauren seems interesting in a bland sort of way... Opinionated, moi? ;-)

No Dramas, welcome! Thank you for the compliment (and for not yawning at me specifically!). I know what you mean about those who claim they'll be a troublemaker and then back down once they're in there. No one puts their money where their mouth is! (Because they want BB's money, and the only way to get that is to keep your mouth shut! Or so they think.) It's continually a let-down, and one of the main reasons the show garners so much criticism. Glad to see you're a Michael supporter as well. Interesting that for all the bleating people have given BB for putting boring people in there, as soon as we finally got someone who was happy to make a nuisance of themselves for our enjoyment, he was almost-universally loathed and evicted. Stupid public. Make up your mind. I tend to agree that Perry will go first. Or maybe Darren. Has he spoken much yet? He might wanna try. (Maybe he has; my excuse is I haven't watched any 'uplate' footage tonight.)

Richard Watts, what I hate about you is that you tiptoe around the subject matter without ever really saying what you mean. Good thing you're not in the House trying to nominate:

Big Brother: Richard, you're not being clear. What are you trying to say about them?

Richard: I just told you exactly what I'm saying about them, you idiot!

(The point here is not that you weren't clear, but that BB's a toolhead. I think you made your point very apparent indeed!)

:)

Perry is a complete loudmouthed horror. But not in the kind of way that makes me want to watch her. Like Camilla, who is loud and annoying, but somehow endearing. Perry just makes me want to turn the television off. More often I just leave the room to get a coffee.
